Tavern Argentina is located in the historic seaside village of Kolimbari which has a permanent population of about 1000 inhabitants and is located 24 km west of the Centre of Chania.

It was the starting point of the Great Cretan War since in 1645 the Turks disembarked on the sandy beach and then conquered Crete.

In Kolimbari there is the famous Monastery of Panagia Odigitria, known as the Monastery of Gonia (angle), which is founded in the 9th century but was moved by the monks in its current location in 1634 for safety reasons.
The monastery was an important factor of the Resistance to the revolution of 1821.

Kolimbari is a perfect place for relaxing and beautiful holidays since combines the natural beauty of Cretan land with a long pebbled beach.
Access to Kolimbari is done through the National Road and is 30 minutes from the port of Souda and 20 minutes from the city of Chania.

There is also a frequent bus service that connects to both the city center and other interesting sites of Chania.
